Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and creative high school junior or senior to join our team as a Summer Data Intern. This internship will be primarily online and will report to the Data leader at our ovarian cancer foundation. The ideal candidate will be excited about serving and have a passion for data analysis and visualization. They will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to generate insights that will help advance our mission.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and process data from various sources using Excel and other tools as needed
- Conduct statistical analysis of data to test hypotheses and identify trends
- Develop visualizations (e.g. heatmaps, graphs) to help stakeholders understand data trends
- Work with the Data Leader to develop and implement data-driven strategies to advance our mission
- Share and publish insights with the leadership team and online community
- Attend virtual meetings and events as needed
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Marketing Coordinator
Requirements:
- Strong desire to serve and operate in a value centric organization
- High school junior or senior
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated interest in data analysis, statistics or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable internet connection and access to a computer
Duration: This is an 8-week internship, starting in June and ending in August 2023.
Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
