Summer Marketing Intern

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and creative high school junior or senior to join our team as a Summer Marketing Intern. This internship will be primarily online and will report to the Marketing Coordinator at our ovarian cancer foundation. The ideal candidate will be excited about serving and passionate about spreading awareness and promoting our mission to advance patient care, engage physicians and healthcare teams, receive pharmaceutical support, and advocate for policy changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Create compelling content (blogs, vlogs, etc.) to promote our mission and raise awareness about ovarian cancer
  • Manage and expand our social media presence on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to plan and execute marketing campaigns with clear objectives, call to action
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to engage healthcare professionals and pharmaceutical companies
  • Conduct research to identify potential partners, donors, and supporters
  • Attend virtual meetings and events as needed
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Marketing Coordinator

Requirements:

  • Strong desire to serve and operate in a value centric organization
  • High school junior or senior
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in productivity suites and social media platforms
  • Demonstrated interest in marketing, communications, and a track record of social publishing
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable internet connection and access to a computer

Duration: This is an 8-week internship, starting in June and ending in August 2023.

Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
