Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and innovative high school junior or senior to join our team as a Summer Technology Intern. This internship will be primarily online and will report to the IT Manager at our ovarian cancer foundation. The ideal candidate will be excited about serving and passionate about technology, they will be responsible for developing and implementing technology solutions to advance our mission.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with IT requirements and support the IT Manager in maintaining the technology infrastructure
- Write code and develop basic applications to support the foundation’s technology needs
- Collaborate with the IT Manager to develop and implement technology strategies to advance our mission
- Conduct research on technology trends and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement
- Attend virtual meetings and events as needed
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Marketing Coordinator
Requirements:
- Strong desire to serve and operate in a value centric organization
- High school junior or senior
- Demonstrated interest in technology and software development
- Strong knowledge of CS & programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Demonstrated interest in marketing, communications, and a track record of social publishing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable internet connection and access to a computer
Duration: This is an 8-week internship, starting in June and ending in August 2023.
Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
